Tennis camps

half terms & school holidays

Update July 2020

Dear Parent, I will be running small group (max 6 players) blocks of lessons this August instead of the usual summer camp format, in line with current Government sporting restrictions and advice. So you have a couple of options. You could organise your own group or I can advise you on a similar age/ability group suitable for your children. The lessons will run for 2 hours per day for Primary school aged children and 3 hours per day for Senior school aged children Monday-Friday throughout August at 9am-11/12am
or 1-3/4pm at Tarvin and Bickerton Tennis Clubs and you can book any number of days. The cost is £16 per day for Juniors and £18 per day senior aged children if in a group of 6. If there are less children the cost will be slightly more.

At the moment there are still dates available but do get in quick as it’s filling up! To book just drop me an email

Private lessons will still be available outside of those hours too. Hope to see you on the court soon.

About The Tennis Camps

Our fun tennis camps run for 5 days, are suitable for all abilities and you can choose to attend the odd day or come all week. For those children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 it runs until 12pm daily. For those in Year 3-6 you can choose either half day or full day ending at 3pm.

A typical day will be very active starting with a vigorous warm up then some simple exercises designed to improve their ABC’S (agility, balance, coordination, speed).

The children will then be split into ability groups to work various aspects of the game. Here we teach them correct grips, stroke mechanics, rules and simple tactics in order to play a game. We have literally hundreds of challenges and tennis adapted games for all ages, to keep them fully engaged and motivated to learn and have fun.

There are quizzes, invasion games and a multisport session to vary the days activities, so its not all tennis, all day.

Stickers, prizes and certificates are awarded at the end of the course.

Who can attend?

Total beginners to advanced, school years reception to year 9.

Tennis players of all levels attend our tennis camps, from beginner to advanced. There is something for everyone. As we start to get to know the children, we group them according to their ability.
